Ayu has been voted out. Why?

Ayu is the first contestent has been eliminated in OIAM 3. What do you think?? Do you agree with what Malaysians have done? She sang "Matahariku" by Agnes Monica in the previous week. She did OK last week, but her performance wasn't great enough to impresss the judges and also the freelancers. Anyway...follow up with us a few assumptions why she has been voted out.

- Malaysians didin't want another Ayu to win the 1 Million Ringgit, since ayu OIAM 2 won the 1 million Ringgit in the previous session.

- Malaysians didin't see the uniqueness for her vocal.

- She has a big voice, it is not unique anymore because the winner in the previous session also has a big voice.

-Her performance last week is far below compared with another contestents

“Berdasarkan maklum balas yang diterima dari show minggu lepas, ramai yang berpendapat kumpulan ini benar-benar mempunyai bakat menyanyi. It’s such a shame then yang malam ini pretasi mereka merosot. I’m so disappointed. Tak sangka mereka akan macam ini. Minggu lepas, puji bagai nak rak tapi minggu ini …,” keluh Syafinaz.


"Paul pula berpendapat kesilapan mereka adalah kegagalan untuk mencipta satu persembahan yang mampu meninggalkan kesan yang mendalam. Padanya, itu yang membawa kepada penyingkiran Ayu. Walaupun telah berani memperkenalkan elemen goth ke dalam pertandingan, namun Ayu masih kekurangan dalam penghayatannya"

OIAM 3 - Top 11-

Hello guys, the second concert is just ended. It was a worst concert. We think because of the songs selection. We have to agreed with the judges, it was really horrible song. The contestents look very old fashion. We thought, the contestents misunderstood with the theme. Because of the word "memory" they thought it must be an old song. Oh...come on!!!! that is the difference with people with talent but no high education and people with high education but no talent (not all but most). "Memory" is not necessary an old. It could be last year or maybe last month. Anyway, its done and cannot be undo anymore. So here is the review for tonight's performance.

Esther
OK, she choose the song which is not really great. The song doesn't shows her real ability. The song is just easy listening and nothing special with the song. There is no strength in that song. The only strength with her performance was she sang it differently and it was really nice. She modified the music arrangement and it was really creative. Her vocal was good and we love to hear it. However, the performance tonight was good. But actually we except more from her. But it didin't come.

Han
Now this girl's turn. It was really worst from her. Sorry to her fans. But She picked very wrong song. She knows she has a very great voice but she picked a very old song. In fact, her appreance also very old fashion. We don't like the song. The song is not really suitable for a grand competation like OIAM. Besides, her performance also very bored. We would like she shows the judges how powerful her voice to hit all those high notes.

Simon
We were sorry but, what else Simon can do besides of "guitaring???". His performance was static and no movement at all because of his guitar. Next time what if he sings without guitar? We will see. Anyway!!! We decided his performance (vocally) was really great. This is what we called he choose a very nice song and really suit his voice. The husky - ness was really impressed us and the tone was prefect. The judge was right, we can listen him just like listening a CD. The pitching was really excellent...Score: 8/10

Nine
Sorry guys, but nine's performance was really bored. It was an old fashion. It was boring performance, very pitchy and also the song was really bored. We were expecting something new or something refreshing. But NONE!!! It was empty performance.

Amylea
First of all.....another guitar????? Hehehehe..Pitching was great and the song was nice. It was slumber (easy going) performance and a rileks performance. It was simple, but were thinking whats great in her performance? We know the pitching was great and the song is nice. But lot of singers can do that. What special??? Anyway..we look it in looking for something different. But if we judge based on performance she did a great job.

Rizu
Sorry, the vibrato was OVER.......Please control your vibrato Rizu. Anyway, in our opinion, he picked a right song. The song was really great and he delivered it greatly. But the new judge said he has dictions problem??? Mmmm....we do not think so. It wasn't prefect diction but its all right for this competation. Mmmm...we reconsider what Paul said, he was correct because Rizu'z facial expression looks arrogant. Anyway, we think the performance was great and also the song.

Anith
She has a very "lantang" voice and we love the song. But nothing special with her performance. I mean, just everybody can do it. It wasn't empty but just OK and nothing so special.

The performance was just right. He really has Malay dictions problem. Like mata, he pronounce it "matha". Oh..it was bad..really bad as a malay singer. He is malay and he should pronounce it prefectly when singing a malay song. No more "sengau" from him and the vocal actually nice.

Aweera
A PITCHY performance, He si not singing but he was screaming....really. He tried to hit the highest notes but just a problem for him. He controled the stage greatly. But for us it wasn't a good performance. What he has done with the song??? He ruined it. We didn't understand what he said.

She did a great job last week. But tonight....it was really pitchy. She sang a big song. She can "handle" it. She tried to sing the song like the original singer. It was bad actually. Please sing your own style...do not try to sing it like the original singer.

Fify
The last contestent that night was Fify. The intro was great. But as she going...she actually going down the hill. In fact in the middle of the song a bit pitchy. But she sang the song like her own sing and it was really different. We like it. But a bit flat the performance...not the pitch. Its just like okkkkkkkkkk.....

Hello all, we just seen how the first contestent has been eliminated from OIAM 3. So the "berita angin" was correct. He sent us an email and they list Anith, Ayu and also Fify were in the top bottom on thursday. But as usual, the votes were changed and Ayu's votes did not increase. As a result, she was eliminated tonight. The freelancers reviewer agreed, in fact she was in our bottom 3. Suprisingly, Pija and Amylea were in bottom 3. They did a good job but maybe their votes were not strong enough to put them in the safe post. Anyway guys, now 11 more contestents. So you know what to do!!!!

OK guys, we saw all the contestents' performance tonight. The show just finished and now i am writing my review about each of the contestents. First of all, generally speaking they were great and some of them performed amazingly. So lets talk about their performances and these are freelancers' opinions and not the judges opinions. So we are pretty sure about some of you might did not agree with us. But what to do? its freelancers' opinions. Lets start now...

Anis
First contestent was Anis. For freelancers she performed it quite good and energetic. But one thing, sangat bahaya sebab dier perform first. Usually first performer is very difficult to impress the judges. Agree with us? Because for me her performance was not so bad, in fact she hit the high note quite OK. But since she performed it first, it was difficult to impress the judges, except if you are really good in your singing. She is the youngest (or maybe one of the youngest), but the enegry level was good and the attitude on stage is good as well. Overall performance Good.

Amelya
Correct me if we spelet it wrong. I used to be her song's fan. I like her song titled "ku berserah". As expected, she is an artist and she performed it very good. But she is still Amelya. We meant she is like in AF. We did not see any changes in her from AF. I thought and the shadow when she was in AF is still there. Kami cuba mencari sesuatu yang baru dari diri Amelya sepanjang persembahannya tadi, tapi kami gagal untuk mencarinya. Walau bagaimanapun, kami tidak menafikan suara beliau sangat baik dan picthing is prefect. As the judge said, it was classy and nice. Overall she got the talent and it was great.

Simon
First of all, we have to admit and confess he has husky and unique vocal. This is one of the powers by Simon. Just with the Guitar but he performed be wonderfuly and we can say this performance is one of the best tonight. Really...simple but the his vocal made it perfect. If you rewatch his performance, you can see....just like a professional singer...he didin't move around like the other but his performance was much better then the other. Once again, he has very new vocal in our music industry. We bet he is one of our favourite contestents.

Ayu
She has a big voice. Maybe this is not unique anymore because last session, the winner also has a big voice. So..the freelancers' feel its not unique enough. But..even though she has a big voice she can veritize her vocal. What we meant, you can see she hits the not rendah with her big vocal and she also can hit the not tinggi with her big vocal. So this is very good of her. Not all singer can do this thing. But she did it tonight. However, we made a conclusion she did not show her real ability tonight. In fact, if you realize when she hit the part SEPIII.......we can't really hear it and a bit picthy. But she deserve to be place in top 12.

Fify
Firstly, her voice is very..very big and not really suitable to hit the lower part of the song. When she started the song, the begining is not so good. In fact, kalau you all perasan..masa dier cuba hit low not kan.....suara dia agak tawar. And then, maser dia cuba nak hit yang higher part of the song plak suara dia macam tak keluar. You know what i mean? Yeah....seriously....when she hitting the higher part it wasn't really good. Just ok. Seems like..the vical not natuarally come out. Just like.a bit tersangkut..or maybe we can say....not tinggi dia tak fluent. Anyway folks, you decide it. But i still enjoy her performance and it is powerful actually...but its not really natural.

Rizu
OK folks, Rizu got the look and also the voice. Generally speaking he has a prefect package. However, based on his performance tonight anugerah yang dia dapat masa AIM hari tuh ibarat hangat2 tahi ayam. We are sorry. But if you rewatch all the performances, simon and esther is much better. In fact, pija, amelya and han also can beat him. Don't you agree? Well, its really up to you because thet is what the freelancers' opinon. It doesn't mean he didn't perform well, but sebab dia dapat anugerah AIM ari tuh kan? so we were expecting he should perform excelently or at least one of the best performances. But it didin't work for us. But we didin't deny he has a full package to be an artist. He has the look, voice and he is likeable. The performance was good but we expected more from him and he didn't reach our expectation.

Aweera
We think among all the contestents, he has the real rockers. What we meant, if you realize most of the contestents they said "gaya rock"...but whan they sang the song it not rock enough for us. But this guy sang the song in his very..very own style and also very energetic. However..........as Paul said and we as freelancers reviewer also think Paul was correct. Maybe this guy is making a new fenomena for a few weeks with his style..BUT...do you think Malaysian want to hear Rock Kapak along the concert? I DONT THINK SO. We were worried and actually we were assume that he might has the problem in singing balada or R&B. We know those kind of gerne is not for him. But as we said...he cannot sing all the rock kapak punya lagu for 12 weeks...otherwise the voters will get bored. However, his performence tonight was great.

Pija
OK, this girl nailed the song. She sang the song really different and its not MUH's version. Means this is female version. But this is just like Amelya...we didin't see the difference between pija mentor and pija oiam. Seriously...we want something new and different. But for us pija mentor and pija oiam is just the same tonight. However, the performance was really nice and really good. She controls and hits all parts of the song prefectly. And she really confortable on the stage which is very nice for her.

Nine
OK, for us his performance is just ok. Its nothing special. But maybe his style...but this is a competation to win one million Ringgit. If his performance is just like that, static with the guitar and the face expression is just ok...i dont think he deserve the one million Ringgit. We didin't deny he has a great vocal but it was a little bit "kejutan" when his performance is just like that. We are very sure he didn't show the real of him. He has a lot of things to show to the judges and to the audiences.

Han
Han has a very great vocal. Her range is from female to male. If you remember, she sang Anwar Zain's song and she sang female song which is very incredible. She hits the higher parts of the song clearly and fluently. It was very good for her. She has a big voice and merdu also. Like the judge said, that song is very simple but she made it like a very powerful song. Moreover, one thing we like about her, sebutan sangat jelas. Among the contestents dia menyebut setiap perkataan dengan jelas. For example "kita" (some singers pronounced it "kitha"). Hope you know what we meant. After her perfermonce it was better then original singer.

Esther
At the few seconds of her performance we really didin't know what was that song. Actually it was better in time by Leona Lewis. We agreed with both of the judges. This girl has her own way to sing and the feeling was there. Seems like we can see the feeling was going out of his soul which is very incredible. Vocally, we defenatly say she has a great vocal. She sang the song in a very different ways from the original singer. It was Esther and not Leona!! The way she hits at some parts of the song, the vibrato, the face expression are totally different. In fact the music arrangement is a bit different. That is why we didn't know what the song was in the early part of her performance. So far, she has the originality. This song is one of the most difficult among the contestents but she sang it with her originality and style.

Tomok
First of all, there is no "sengau" in his performance just now. Honestly, he proved to all Malaysians that he deserves to be placed in top 12. It was a great performance from him. But as uaual we expected more from him since he is an artist. And he just reached the expectation. It shows us that he can sing individually and not neccesary with his band friends. Congtrates to him!

Bermulanya OIAM 3 malam ini

Setelah Ayu, iaitu peserta yang berasal dari Sabah merangkul RM 1 juta ringgit tahun lepas, siapa pula yang akan bakal mengikuti jejak penyanyi yang bernama Ayu. Untuk musim yang ketiga ini kita dapat melihat lebih ramai peserta yang suda bergelar artis. I am very sure you know them all. They are young and very popular. But what they still want to join OIAM 3? Well, as usual what i call a skema jawapan, "I nak kembangkan bakat yang ada dalam diri ini"...kalau bukan yang ini pasti saja ada jawapan yang membolahkan orang luar percaya kepada mereka. Saya tidak menafikan atau memburuk burukkan nama mereka, sememangnya mereka layak untuk memenangi dan menghadiri audition tersebut.

Tetapi, persoalannya apakah jawapan yang diberikan oleh mereka benar-benar boleh diterima akal. Cuba kita renungkan sejenak, sememangnya mereka suda diberi peluang untuk menghasilkan album, tetapi hasilnya? sungguh mengecewakan. Mungkin ada diantara mereka yang pernah menjadi bintang yang popular suatu masa dahulu tetapi tidak mampu untuk terus berdiri di persada seni. Mengapa? saya merasakan populariti yang semakin merundum dan juga mungkin para peminat yang suda naik muak dengan style yang dibawakan oleh artis tersebut. Atau mungkin juga artis tersebut mengalami masalah atitiude yang menyebabkan syarikat rakaman tidak lagi berminat untuk menghasilkan atau merakamkan album unutk mereka. Dalam kontekas ini, saya serahkan kepada anda sendiri untuk menjawabnya.

Untuk peserta yang baru saja mula melangkah ke persada tanah air negara, saya mengalu-alukan kedatangan anda. Apa yang saya lihat dalam rancangan realiti OIAM musim ketiga ini, para peserta yang bukannya artis mampu memberikan persembahan yang menarik seakan-akan mereka mempunyi pengalaman yang sangat luas jika dibandingkan dengan para peserta yang suda bergelar artis. Ingat, saya menulis artikel ini bukannya berat sebelah atau bersikap tidak adil, tetapi saya cuma tekankan penglibatan dan juga persembahan para peserta. Jika diikutkan, peserta yang bergelar sebagai artis seharusnya menghasilkan atau menunjukkan persembahan yang luar biasa. Walau bagaimanapun...biarlah kita akan melihat sendiri apakah yang akan bakal berlaku malam ini. Saya tidak berani untuk mengatakan siapa yang bakal memberikan persembahan yang menari kerana semuanya boleh berubah dalam sekelip mata apabila berada di depan kamera.

Menyebut soal tentang para peserta yang akan memulakan persembahan masing-masing sebentar saja lagi, saya menjangkakan untuk minggu pertama ini peserta yang bergelar sebagai artis pastinya suda bersedia dan pastinya tidak sabar untuk menunjukkan kehebatan masing-masing. Itu hanyalah ramalan awal saya. Para peserta yang lain pula pastinya agak gemuruh dan tidak senang duduk. Sejak dari petang tadi berduyun-duyun penonton yang datang ke plaza alam sentral. Masing-masing dengan gaya yang tersendiri dan masing-masing dangan banner. Diata banner mereka terpampang nama para peserta kegemaran mereka. Sungguh menakjubkan dan mengagumkan.

Dalam selang 15 minit rancangan realiti yang paling mahal di malaysia akan berlangsung. Bagaimana dengan anda? adakah anda suda bersedia? saya suda bersedia sejak minggu lalu lagi. mari kita mulakan dan jangan lupa untuk mengundi peserta kegemaran anda.
