Review OIAM3 - Top 5 -

First of all, we have to say it was a bit boring performances tonight. We would say most of them did not deliver the song based on what we expected. We knew, they did great jobs in modifying the songs, but the performances really looks DULL and a bit bored.

Enough for that, First of all...Somin has been eliminated tonight. He really has a great voice. Especially the huskyness which is so unique among the contastents. But what to do? Malaysians did not like it or maybe he is not likeable enough. Maybe he received highest NO VOTES instead of YES VOTES. In fact, the pool on this blog also shows most of the visitors agreed Simon should be eliminated tonight..

All right, lets talk about their performances tonight. Lets go each of the contastents.

Amylea
It was nice but nothing special on it. The vocal was great, very clear and loud. She did a good job in modify the song. But we did not find X-factor on her performance and we did not find something very new in her performance. Its just like the previous performance which is good. But for this week performance we assumed it suppose to be very good and she should exposed something new on her performance.

Nine
Mmmmm....nothing much we can say about this guy. He did a great job as well. But just about the same like Amylea did. It was a good BUT we did not see something very...very special on his performance. In top five he should be very brave enough to show the audiance something very special on him. But he did not and it was a bit dissappointed. It was an energetic performance but a bit messy and sometimes we thought it was just okey. Just about the same like the previous weeks. He did not show something new!!!

Aweera
We thought he did the best for this week perfoemnces. It was very rileks performance and very easy for him to reach high notes. A soft song like this actually showing that he is really singing instead of "barking". Even though early performance he looks a bit not confident but the chorus part of the song he nailed it excellently. Which is very good for him. The flasseto note wasn't so good...no need to that flasseto..because he can reach high notes easily. He looks very rileks on the stage and the vocal was very control. Sometimes including a bit softness in rock like what Aweera did is very good.

Esther
Let we say the bad things first. It was totally strange melody, and she modified the song too much and we it sounds very strange. It was a great job though for taking the risk. But as Paul said, she crossed the line a bit. BUT the very good things are, it was totally a new trial from her. The accapella was reallly intresting and it was very new exposion from her. The vocal control, soul,feeling, rendiation and dynamic were bind together became one and it was really good. But she actually did a small mistake by modified the song toooooooooooooo much. Because some people still prefer the original version.

Tomok
Oh...it was expected performance. We not sure his creativity. Maybe he is very creative to modify female songs to be sound like rocky. But...for male songs, we thought he really failed to impress us. It was really repert and same performance from him. He did the same thing for about 5 weeks? took a female song and modofied it with almost similar tempo every week. It wasn't creative enough. Why don't you agree with us? If you look back in the previous concerts, he did almost same thing every week. PICKED A FEMALE SONG, MODIFIED IT TO BE ALMOST SAME TEMPO.
